CUET UG 2026 in May: NTA Issues Fresh Advisory for Aadhaar Details 🚨
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that CUET UG 2026 will be held in May 2026, and issued a fresh advisory urging all aspirants to update their Aadhaar cards and other essential documents before applying.
📌 What NTA’s Advisory Says
Aadhaar details must match with official records — including name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), current photograph, address, and father’s name.
For applicants with disabilities, their UDID Card or disability certificate must be valid and updated.
Those applying under reserved categories (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) must also ensure their category certificates are up-to-date and valid.
✅ Why This Update Matters
From 2026 onwards, exam centres for national-level entrance exams like CUET-UG will be assigned based on the address in Aadhaar, and candidates will no longer be able to choose their exam city.
Any mismatch or erroneous details (like name spelling, incorrect DOB, outdated photo or address) can lead to rejection of application or last-minute hassles during verification.
