CSIR UGC NET December 2025: NTA Releases Exam City Intimation Slip at csirnet.nta.nic.in
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam city intimation slips. Candidates appearing for the national-level eligibility test can now download their exam city details by visiting the official website — csirnet.nta.nic.in.
To access the exam-city intimation slip, candidates must log in using their CSIR UGC NET application number, date of birth, and the Captcha code on the official candidate portal.
The CSIR UGC NET 2025 December session exam will be conducted on December 18. Candidates should note that the exam-city slip is only a preliminary intimation of the allotted exam city, issued to help them plan their travel arrangements. The admit card will be released separately by the NTA.

CSIR UGC NET 2025: Exam on December 18 for Five Subjects, NTA Issues Important Instructions
The joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 December session will be conducted on a single day—December 18—in two sessions. The exam will be held for five major subjects: Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The national-level test will be conducted in computer-based (CBT) mode to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and PhD admissions.

During the June 2025 session, the exam was held in two shifts across the same five subjects. Out of 1,95,241 registered candidates, a total of 1,47,732 appeared. Among these, 1,14,339 were female candidates, with 86,777 appearing for the test. Meanwhile, 80,894 male candidates registered, and 60,950 appeared. Additionally, eight candidates from the third gender registered, and five appeared on the exam day.
The Joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination saw varied participation across disciplines, with Life Sciences drawing the highest number of candidates—78,949 registered and 60,213 appearing.
