JKBOSE Secretary Hints at Class 10 Result Release in First Week of January

‘Class 12th, 11th results to be declared by January 3rd week and last week’

Srinagar, Dec 18: In a major update for students, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is preparing to announce the results of the Annual Regular 2025 Class 10 examinations by the first week of January 2026.

According to officials, the declaration of Class 10 results will be followed by the announcement of Class 12 results in the third week of January, while the results for Class 11 students are expected to be released by the last week of January. The move is aimed at ensuring a timely academic calendar and smoother admission and examination processes for the upcoming session.

In an exclusive interaction with Greater Kashmir, JKBOSE Secretary Ghulam Hassan Sheikh said the Board is aiming to declare the results of students from all three classes—10th, 11th, and 12th—within the month of January.

Class 10 Result

“We are hopeful of declaring the Class 10 examination results by the first week of January. This will be followed by the announcement of the Class 12 results after a gap of around 10 days,” the JKBOSE Secretary said, adding that efforts are being made to complete the evaluation process on time.

JKBOSE Secretary Ghulam Hassan Sheikh said the results of the Class 11 examinations will be declared by the end of January, completing the result process for all three classes within the month.

He said the Class 12 examinations concluded on December 9, while the Class 11 examinations ended on December 13. The Class 10 examinations, meanwhile, wrapped up in the last week of November.

Explaining the timeline, the JKBOSE Secretary said that after the completion of theory papers, students have to appear in external practical examinations, following which award sheets are collected from different centres. “It takes additional time to collect the award sheets, particularly for vocational subjects, as these have a different evaluation setup,” he said.

Sheikh expressed confidence in meeting the announced deadlines, stating that the evaluation process is progressing as per schedule. “We are on track, and I am personally monitoring the process. The timeline given is being followed strictly by the concerned staff and officers,” he added.

This year, the Annual Regular 2025 examinations for Classes 10, 11, and 12 commenced in November. As previously reported, JKBOSE had announced a 15 per cent relaxation for students of all three classes in view of the academic disruptions faced during the session.

According to official data, a total of 94,783 students registered for the Class 10 JKBOSE examination, including 68,804 students from Kashmir, 25,224 from winter zone areas of the Jammu division, along with 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh district.

For Class 11, around 81,622 students registered, including 65,400 from Jammu and 17,621 from winter zone areas of the Jammu division. Meanwhile, 70,117 students registered for the Class 12 examination, comprising 56,423 students from Kashmir and 13,694 from winter zone areas of Jammu.

The JKBOSE Class 11 and 12 examinations were conducted between November 19 and December 8, 2025, as per the official schedule.
